14 Cards, 3 Decoupage Sheets

Although Christmas 2018 has officially passed, I'm still feeling in the holiday spirit--Plus, I still had 3 Holiday themed pop-out decoupage sheets by Craft Creations UK left from my last White Rose Crafts Design Team package.

I decided to get a head start on my personal challenge to create one Christmas card per week during 2019 and create as many cards as possible using them. I had intentionally selected sheets with several small images, so I could get the most bang for my buck, and let me tell you--3 hours and 14 cute cards with tons of dimension later, I couldn't be happier!

The Craft Creations decoupage sheets are literally idiot proof--everything that goes together is labeled together. Not to mention, if I'd wanted to, I could have even split up each of the elements of the doggies and kitties to create another 8 cards with less dimension, so the value of these sheets is really incredible! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I hope you've found some inspiration in my projects today! I really enjoyed putting these together and LOVE that I was able to use up some of my Christmas Paper stash (to make room for some new selections, of course!) All 14 of these cards took about 3 hours to put together, assembly line style, and that was with a 3.5 year old buzzing around trying to get attention and my special needs 4 year old still getting over a cold--so probably less time if you could be completely focused on the task! I love that I already have 14 cards ready to go for next year, and 2019 hasn't even started yet!

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Have an AMAZING New Year!

Contemporary Gingerbread Peeps

For today's project, I and took my inspiration from the non-traditional color palette of the kit to create this simple & easy to mass produce Christmas cards! I'm a sucker for that contemporary Pink, Teal & Purple combo!

I started with three A2 panels of white layering weight cardstock and the Lawn Fawn Simply Celebrate Winter stamp set (sold out). I chose Distress Oxide inks in Picked RaspberryPeacock FeathersShaded LilacWilted Violet, & Spun Sugar for this simple, repeat stamping technique. Using my stamp positioner, I started with Picked Raspberry at the center of my panels, stamping all 3 at the same time, assembly line style, sliding the panels up or down 3/4 of an inch for each new color. Once I had covered the panel from top to bottom, I trimmed them down to 3 7/8 x 5 3/8, and then cut each one in half, diagonally, from corner to corner.

Next, I cut  two 1/4 inch strips each of Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock (included in kit), Craft Creations Blue Shimmer Paper (included in kit) and Craft Creations Lilac Shimmer Paper, adhering them behind the diagonal cut edges of each of the panels. I mounted those triangles to plain white panels cut to 4 1/8 x 5 5/8 inches, making sure the corners were flush with the new panel. This left a nice inset strip with a sparkly border for me to stamp a simple "Wishing you a Merry Christmas" sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Holiday Sentiments stamp set (add-on item) in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

I mounted the first two of the assembled panels onto A2 panels of coordinating cardstock from my stash, and the third--featuring the Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock--on a panel of Aspire Petallics Pearl Shimmer Cardstock (add-on item), before adhering the finished panels to top folding 110# A2 card bases. For a final touch of sparkle & texture, I added Nuvo Drops, from the glitter collection, in Aquatic Mist, Purple RainSherbet Shimmer & White Blizzard on just a few of the Gingerbread Girl's Bows.

I really love how these contemporary Christmas cards turned out. I love that they're simple & easy to make several quickly, which is great for those last minute cards you forgot you needed!

Moo Brew

I started with an A2 panel of tan cardstock, and stamped the coffee bean image in Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves ink, and the grinder image in Versamark ink, randomly all over the background panel. Next, I heat embossed the punny cafe sign image with Ranger Super Fine White embossing powder on a scrap of black cardstock, trimming it to about 1/8 larger than the image itself. I stamped the short chain image from the stamp set in Versafine Clair Nocturne before adhering the sign panel on Woodware 1mm Foam Mounting Tape.

I stamped the totally adorable moo cow on a separate scrap of Copic friendly white cardstock, before coloring and fussy cutting her out. I cut a strip of brown, wood grain patterned paper, adhering it to the bottom of the panel, and popped the cow up on 1mm Foam Mounting Tape, so it looks like her elbows are propped on a table. I stamped "I love moo brew and you" sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed it with Ranger Super Fine Clear embossing powder, to give it a nice gloss. I added a generous sprinkling of Doodles Paper Playground: Gingerbread Man Sparkle Blends to embellish, and a coat of Glossy Accents over the coffee mug & her cute glasses as a final touch. I trimmed the whole panel to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches, and adhered it to a Neenah Desert Storm A2 card base.

Cold Cozy Nights

I started with a top folding, A2 white card base. I cut a scrap of striped winter paper from my stash into a 1 inch strip, adhering it to the right edge of the base. I cut a 3.75 x 5.5 inch panel of hot cocoa paper from the Echo Park I Love Winter paper pack to the left side of the panel, and added a 1/8 inch strip of Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust sparkle cardstock at the seam for an accent. I cut a border strip from a piece of paper from my stash with the sentiment "Cold, cozy nights, warm blankets & hot cocoa", and popped it up on Woodware 1mm Foam Mounting Tape, for a touch of dimension.

Next, I stamped the two coffee cups from the Lawn Fawn Thanks a Latte stamp set on a scrap of Copic friendly white cardstock, with Versafine Onyx Black, Memento Summer Sky, and Rich Cocoa ink before coloring and fussy cutting them out, leaving a small white border. I then adhered the hot cocoa directly to the card front, and popped up the latte with 1mm Foam Tape. For a bit of sparkle, I added Sakura clear Stardust pen to the snowflakes, Dovecraft Crystal glitter glue to the snowflakes on the sentiment, and just a few snowflakes and sequins from our Frozen Sparkle Blend. For a final touch, I added Glossy Accents, covering the liquid portion of the coffee cup images.
