I knew I needed to incorporate some of the gorgeous ivory, mulberry lace paper in the kit, this time, so I started with the 5 1/4 inch square, white card base (included) and trimmed a panel of American Crafts Coffee brown card stock (a 12x12 sheet is also included) to 5 inches square, mounting it on the card base with Kaisercraft 1/4 inch double sided tape. I selected a sheet of latte art patterned paper from the Echo Park Coffee Paper Pack (12 sheets included), and cut it to 3 x 4 7/8 inches. Next I cut a piece of the mulberry lace paper to 2 1/4 x 4 7/8 inches. I adhered the mulberry lace paper to the brown cardstock panel with Imagine Crafts On Point Glue. I applied double sided tape to the back of the patterned paper and adhered it to the panel so it overlapped the mulberry lace paper. To hide the seam, I used a scrap of brown cardstock from my scrap box.

Next I chose the barista girl sticker from the included Echo Park 12x12 Coffee sticker sheet (matching the paper). I cut a 1 1/2 x 3 inch piece of white cardstock and added the sticker to that, intentionally letting her hang over the edges a little bit. Next I cut a 1 7/8 x 3 3/8 inch piece of the coffee bean patterned paper on the other side of the latte art print and mounted my sticker panel to that. I grabbed the sentiment sticker "Today's Plan? Drink coffee & be awesome!" that looks a bit like a speech bubble to me, and adhered it above the sticker panel on the right side, so it looks like the barista might be saying it to the recipient.

I knew I wanted to keep the embellishments a little bit simple, since the patterns on the card are bold and a bit busy, so I chose one of the large cream colored mulberry hearts and one of the smaller pink hearts included in the kit. I also added 3 sequins from the Exclusive Caffeinated Sparkle Blend, included from Doodles Paper Playground in the top left corner and added some of the super pretty Caramel Cream Nuvo Drops to the center of the sequins, as well as in a triangle formation of 3 dot clusters over on the right side of the card. for a final touch, I used the Nuvo drops to draw a dimensional heart on top of the pink mulberry paper  heart.

On the inside, I added a 3 x 3 1/8 inch panel of the same coffee bean pattern from the front of the card, and another of the stickers from the Echo Park Coffee sheet that says "Coffee makes everything possible". For some flat embellishment, I also added a few of the latte art stickers from the sticker sheet as well, to further tie it together with the card front design.

☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕

For my second card, I absolutely had to use the adorable little Jillibean Soup Cocoa/Coffee Mug PVC Shaker and matching die cut card, included in the kit (I told you guys this one was JAM PACKED!) These are great because they're a standard A2 size card, (4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches) which is the size I prefer to work with. I started by pulling out that gorgeous Papermania Geometric Mocha Washi Tape from the kit, adding two diagonal stripes in the top left and bottom right corners.

Next, I cut a piece of the American Crafts Coffee cardstock (included) to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches and adhered it to the inside right panel of the card using Washi Tape, to hold it in place where I wanted it. Then I closed the card and chose  a sentiment sticker from the Echo Park Coffee sticker sheet. and placed it where I wanted it, inside the die cut opening, directly onto the brown cardstock. I opened the card again and placed the PVC shaker pouch inside, and added a moderate amount of the Caffeinated Sparkle Blend (Exclusive to kit) on the sticker, on the opposite panel, before removing the adhesive from the PVC pouch and closing the card once again, making sure to press down on all edges to seal it well. Next, I added some double sided tape to the same side of the brown panel that the shaker is on and closed the card one more time, to adhere the whole panel to the inside cover of the card.

I fussy cut the coffee cup sticker from the Echo Park sticker sheet, leaving a small white border, and adhered it to the bottom left of the card. I decided I wanted something in the top right, for balance, and added the coffee bean heart sticker. For a final, cute touch, I used the Caramel Cream Nuvo Drops to draw steam coming off the coffee mug shaker.

I really kept the inside of this card simple, adding two parallel, vertical strips of the Washi tape and two sentiment stickers from the included sheet.

2 Cards Featuring the White Rose Crafts May Barista Blend Kit

Good Morning, I've got 2 cards to share with you today that I created using the home May Kit White Rose Crafts has coming out called Barista Blend

That's right, WRC has gone coffee crazy for this truly amazing kit, and if you love crafting in a coffee theme, you're going to swoon over it just like I did! (There's only one left as I write this post, so you better get that order in!)

May 2019 White Rose Crafts "Barista Blend" Limited Edition Kit

☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕

I immediately fell in love with the hexagon washi tape included in the kit, and I am notorious for buying tons of washi and never using it, so I was determined to use this one, so I grabbed a panel of 4 x 5 1/4 inch white cardstock and added washi stripes to create a really cool background. Then I took one of the sheets of paper from the included Echo Park Coffee paper pack and trimmed off the coffee shop border strip at the bottom, trimming the center section to the size of my 4 inch panel, and cut a vertical strip of coffee cup print to 1 3/4 x 5 1/4 inches. I adhered the coffee cup strip in the center of my card panel with Kaisercraft 1/4 inch Double Sided Tape. Then I adhered the coffee shop border at the bottom using 1mm Woodware Foam Mounting Tape.

Next I popped out one of the frame embellishments from the included 12x12 Sticker sheet and cut a sentiment square from one of the cut-apart sheets included in the paper pack. I adhered the self adhesive frame to the top center of the panel and then added the chalk board sentiment with 1mm foam tape for more dimension. I added the whole panel to the front of the brown 4 x 5 1/2 inch card base included in the kit with the same 1mm foam tape.

The exclusive Doodles Paper Playground Caffeinated Sparkle Blend included in the kit added a perfect sparkly embellishment. For a final touch, I added some shimmer pen to the frame & a few of the elements in the cafe border strip.

To finish the inside of the card, I selected a pretty floral print from the paper pack, cutting it to 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches. I chose a sentiment sticker from the included sheet that I thought coordinated with the one on the front and adhered it in the center of the paper. I adhered the whole panel to the inside center of my card and added one of the cute, pink, mulberry heart embellishments, also included.

☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕

I knew I wanted to use the adorable Doodlebug stickers included in the kit for my second card. I chose a black and white coffee cup print from the paper pack as my background, trimming it to 3 3/4 x 5 1/2 inches and adhered  it with double sided tape on a 4 x 5 1/2 inch, light blue card base I had left over from the March kit. Next, I cut down a piece of the solid red paper from the paper pack to 2 1/4 x 2 1/2 inches, mounting it on a piece of white cardstock, 1/8 inch larger. I adhered the Doodlebug stickers to this small panel and adhered it to the bottom left corner of my landscape card base.

Then I chose 3 sentiment stickers from the included sheet that I thought went well together. I mounted the two banner shaped sentiments on white cardstock, leaving a small border and adhered them to the card, tucking them under the edge of the coffee cup panel. I adhered the third sentiment sticker directly to the card, centered above the coffee cup panel. For some sparkle, I scattered around a few sequins from the included Sparkle Blends & added a touch of shimmer pen to the white cardstock borders.

On the inside of the card, I took a 1/2 inch strip of the same paper I used as my background and adhered it to the back, center of one of the rectangle sentiment stickers from the kit. I added adhesive to the back of the strip and adhered the whole thing across the card, tucking the sentiment sticker into the bottom right corner.

3 Unique Cards Featuring Altair Art "Signs of Love" Paper Pack for White Rose Crafts

I'm a bit late to the party for Altair Art week over at White Rose Crafts due to an unexpected hospital admission for my son and a surprise date at the theater from my husband for my birthday, but I'm working on getting back on schedule, and really wanted to share these 3 cards I created with the beautiful Signs of Love paper pack. This is a great blend of basics and detailed floral images, which made it really fun to work with! I think my favorite part is the "belly band" and cover sheet that each have cut-apart images on the backs of them, which is where I got my butterflies and extra flowers to embellish my cards.

🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕

For my first card I knew I wanted to play around with this month's Challenge Sketch, just to get my mojo flowing.

I chose the blue, distressed wood planks print, a soft pink gingham and the teal planks with that gorgeous floral cluster. I trimmed the blue plank paper to 4x5 1/4 inches, the pink gingham to 1 3/4x3 7/8 inches, and the final pattern to  2 1/2x3 3 1/2 inches and matted them all on panels of white cardstock, 1/8 inch larger, to create a small border around the layers and give even more dimension.

I fussy cut the 3 of the big butterflies that went with my color palate from the back of the paper pack's cover sheet and 1 tiny blue one, leaving a little white border to match the layers. Then I assembled the layers using Kaisercraft Double Sided Tape, and added my butterflies to the gingham panel with Woodware 1mm Foam Mounting Tape. Then I stamped my sentiment from the Kaisercraft Ubud Dreams stamp set using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. Finally, I adhered the whole panel, centered on an Aqua, top folding, A2 card base.

I brought the outside into my my card by taking a 1/4 inch strip of the blue plank paper and adhering it to the left side of the panel, then I added one of the flags from the cut-apart sheet at the top, and a butterfly on top, then stamped a second sentiment from the same stamp set. As a final touch, I added a few Doodles Paper Playground: Sparkle Blends in Diamond, from the Birthstone Collection and some touches of sparkle pen on the butterfly wings and to accent details in the flowers.

🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕

For my second card, I chose to use the plank pattern with floral print with the coordinating blue gingham. I trimmed the floral print to 4x5 1/4 inches, and the gingham to 2x5 1/4 inches, matting them on white cardstock cut 1/8 inch larger than the patterned panels. For a little texture, I brought in a piece of Azalea mulberry paper, adding a line of water with a water brush and tearing it for a tattered, shabby effect. I mounted the floral panel on a pale pink, top folding, A2 card base before adhering the mulberry paper to the inside edge of the gingham panel and adhered it to the right side of the card front.

Next, I cut out another of the banner flags and coordinating flowers from the cut-apart sheet, as well as two of the small, aqua butterflies and adhered them to the gingham panel. In the bottom left corner, I stamped another sentiment from the Ubud Dreams stamp set with Nocturne ink. Finally, added a scatter of sequins from the Diamond Sparkle Blend, and some sparkle pen to the flowers and butterflies, for just the right amount of shine.

🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕

For my final card, I decided to use one of the easter images I colored last month from the Your Next Stamp Sprinkles: Happy Easter stamp set. To go with it, I chose a distressed, pastel blue polka dot pattern and pale orange damask print trimmed to 4 1/8x5 1/4 and 2 1/2x5 1/8 inches, respectively--again mounting them on white cardstock cut 1/8 inch larger for added dimension. I adhered the polkadot panel to a top folding, white A2 card base and the orange strip, centered on top of that.

To create a focal point, I selected a piece of Ivory Mulberry Paper, using a jar as a template to draw a line of water again with my water brush in a circular pattern before tearing it. This created a soft irregularity that I really like. I stamped the sentiment with Nocturne ink on a scrap of white cardstock and mounted it on a scrap of light blue, plank print paper. I adhered the sentiment strip to the card with 1mm Foam Tape. I added the bunny in his carrot car, also with 1mm foam tape and coated it with a generous amount of clear shimmer pen. Then adhered a decorated Easter egg directly to the card with wet glue. For a final little touch, I pulled some of the tiny, 2mm flowers out of the Easter Basket Sparkle Blend, adding just a few to the card for interest.

🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕🎕

I really love how simple and versatile this paper pack is, with just the right romantic, country feel to it. Its a little bit shabby, a little bit country and perfect for really beautiful cards. I hope you saw something that inspired you today, and I encourage you to check out the full line of Altair Art paper over at White Rose Crafts.
