Bundled Up Bunny

I am here with the first of many project shares I have planned in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

Today's card is the first in my Holiday Card Series and features the adorable "Bundled up Bunny" digital stamp from Craftin Desert Divas.I printed her on Recollections 65# White Cardstock and colored it up using a combination of Spectrum Noir Next Generation and Colorista alcohol markers.

Once the image was colored, I added details using a white Sakura Gelly Roll Pen, some sparkle wind trails behind the leaves using my Sakura clear Stardust pen and added Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen to the bunny's little bow, the acorn, the bird's hat & to the snowy hillside.

I added a few white, opaque snowflake sequins as a tone on tone embellishment and added Iridescent Glitter Glue in clear to the center, as well as to the top edges of the hillside. I then trimmed the panel to 3.5" square and created a teal mat that perfectly matches the bunny's jacket by using my VB2 marker to color around a 3.75" square of cardstock. Using 1mm thick foam tape from Dollar Tree, I went ahead and adhered my colored panel to the mat and added Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen to the teal edges. I then cut a sentiment strip and colored it to match. Using Versamark ink and silver embossing powder, I heat embossed a sweet sentiment from the recently retired "Toasty Greetings" stamp set by MFT Stamps. I thought my VB2 strip seemed too dark with the silver embossing, so I used my colorless blender to lighten an area in the center to act as a frame, then matted the sentiment using a scrap of white cardstock.I created a portrait A2 sized, top fold card base using Recollections 110# White Cardstock and trimmed a sheet of Wild Rose Studio "Holly Lane" paper to 4" x 5.25" and adhered it to the front of my card. I added my colored panel, centered at the top of the card and mounted the sentiment on the same 1mm foam tape used for the bunny panel, centered near the bottom of the card.

To bring the design inside the card, I adhered a 1.5" wide strip of the patterned paper across the top third of the card base and heat embossed another "Toasty Greetings" in silver on white cardstock that I colored just around the edge with my VB2 marker.

Thank you for visiting my blog and checking out my card. I have linked the products I used below that are available online.

Until Next Time-Happy Crafting,
Amber
