7 Super Cute Superhero Cards

I am trying to get better about using my stash, and I definitely have accumulated a nice collection of Superhero themed stamp sets! I'm also an admin and monthly card sender for Zippy Zebras Smiles and Hugs. Zippy Zebras is a community of cardmakers and kind people who commit to sending cards and happy mail, monthly, to children living with chronic illnesses and conditions. I've found it so rewarding to be part of the community & I decided this was the perfect opportunity to use my Superhero stamp collection to make cards for my assigned Zebra Buddies :-)

I started by pulling out the stamp sets I wanted to use: Gerda Steiner Designs Hippo In DisguiseCraftin Desert Divas Caped CrusadersClearly Besotted Caped Cuties, Jaded Blossom Super Hero 2Jaded Blossom Super Hero (revisited, & Fiskars Kapow

Beary Big Heart Shaker Card

Today I am sharing this pretty shaker card Valentine I created as my White Rose Crafts design team project for this week using Heffy Doodle Beary Big Heart stamp set and Doodles Paper Playground: Sparkle Blends Love Potion, available in the White Rose Crafts online store. You can find links to the products I used at the end of the post. I also entered this card in the ModSquadChallenge.com Love themed challenge.

I started with a top folding, A2 size card base created with110# white cardstock & an old 5x5 heart stencil from my stash. Using a Ranger mini blending tool, with Distress Oxides in Candied ApplePicked Raspberry & Worn Lipstick, I blended from the center of the stencil in a circular ombre pattern.

Next I stamped this adorable little bear from Heffy Doodle Beary Big Heart on Bristol Smooth cardstock in Versafine Onyx Black ink & used my Distress markers & water brush to color it in. Then I stamped the "Be Mine" sentiment from the stamp set in the heart using Candied Apple Oxide ink, before fussy cutting the image & leaving a little white border. I cut my frame from the same white cardstock I used for my base, using a wide stitched frame die from my stash & stamped tiny hearts from Sunny Studio's Missing Ewe mini stamp set in Candied Apple Oxide ink.

Then I cut a piece of acetate 1/4 inch smaller than the outside of the frame and adhered it to the back. I adhered a double thickness of 3mm mounting tape to the back of the frame before adding a generous amount of Doodles Paper Playground: Sparkle Blends Love Potion sequin embellishment mix to the center of the panel before adhering the frame over them, centered on the panel, leaving a wide border. I used Double Sided Tape to adhere the cute bear in the bottom left hand corner of the frame.
